Katja Herzog

Katja Herzog, born in Leipzig in 1975, left for West Germany on her 14th birthday in the spring of 1989. After graduating from high school in Aachen, she first studied philosophy and theater, film, and television studies at the Free University of Berlin, then media studies at the Konrad Wolf University of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg.
After graduating and completing several editorial internships at SAT1, she decided to become a TV producer and began an internship at Hofmann & Voges Entertainment GmbH in Munich in 2003. Soon, she was working as a junior producer and producer on projects such as the comedy talk show “Bei Krömers” (rbb) and the sitcom “Schulmädchen” (RTL). Since 2009, she has worked as a producer for TV films and series for Odeon Fiction, where she was responsible for the TV movies “Die Neue” (ZDF), “Gefährliche Wahrheit” (ZDF), and the series ‘Neuland’ (ZDF) and “Tender Hearts” (Sky), among others. Katja Herzog is working as a producer for film gmbh since the end of 2025.
