Mara Graf (Claudia Michelsen), a well-respected German geologist and tsunami expert, has been assigned the task of installing seismological measurement equipment at the bottom of Urnersee by the Swiss Seismological Service. The institute has long been observing seismic activity in Lake Lucerne. Another landslide upside of the “Axenstrasse” renders additional investigations at the lake floor necessary. During one of the dives, Mara’s life and diving partner, Gian Wyss (Lorenz Nufer), dies under mysterious circumstances. Backed into a corner and without any allies, Mara embarks on a single-handed search for the truth. Thanks to her persistence, she eventually wins the support of army captain Sebastian Scherrer (Pasquale Aleardi).
