Fourteen-year-old Leo dies in a devastating fire that broke out on a building site during the night. Arson! Leo’s best friend Pepe denies any knowledge of the incident. Commissioner Tauber (Edgar Selge) suspects that the boy is traumatised and trying to supress the terrible experience. Tauber and his colleague Jo Obermaier (Michaela May) are required to call on all their experience, sensitivity and understanding of human nature. But showing emotion—a prerequisite for sensitivity—is Tauber’s greatest weakness. However; Pepe trusts the commissioner because he takes the boy seriously.
