Die Rückkehr des schwarzen Buddha

The adventurer Nick steals an extremely valuable Buddha statue from Chinese gangsters in order to sell it on his own. The shrine has the reputation of revealing the near future to whoever possesses it, but also of bringing disaster as long as it is in unlawful hands. Nick lures his twin brother Max (in a double role Sebastian Koch), who lives in Germany, to Shanghai to throw the gangsters off his trail. They promptly await Max at the airport. Max narrowly manages to escape and finds his way to Nick's girlfriend Su. Together they go in search of their "lost" brother in a fascinating and mysterious country.
